Delicata squash are similar to butternut squash and the skins are edible. So no pealing involved! Minimal prep + minimal ingredients in this alternative snack recipe.

Try a little chipotle seasoning, or garlic, chile powder, smoked paprika and sea salt. Or maybe some warm spices of cinnamon, allspice, and maple syrup.

Crispy Squash Rings

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Delicata squash
  • Any combination: salt, pepper, smoked paprika, cumin, chipotle, cinnamon, chile powder.
  • Warm spices: cinnamon, allspice, cardamon, clove, brown sugar
  • Butter or coconut oil

Instructions

  • Carve out flesh in squash. Cut into rings. Add spices and butter or oil. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until crisp.
