Crispy Squash Rings
|Don’t leave out all the different varieties of squash there is. You can explore the unique finds at your farmer’s market. Delicata squash can be made into thin crisp rings with added spices that can be a suprisingly delicious healthy snack!
Delicata squash are similar to butternut squash and the skins are edible. So no pealing involved! Minimal prep + minimal ingredients in this alternative snack recipe.
Try a little chipotle seasoning, or garlic, chile powder, smoked paprika and sea salt. Or maybe some warm spices of cinnamon, allspice, and maple syrup.

Crispy Squash Rings
Ingredients
- 1 Delicata squash
- Any combination: salt, pepper, smoked paprika, cumin, chipotle, cinnamon, chile powder.
- Warm spices: cinnamon, allspice, cardamon, clove, brown sugar
- Butter or coconut oil
Instructions
- Carve out flesh in squash. Cut into rings. Add spices and butter or oil. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until crisp.
